I am a modern day Caveman, a sub-species once on the verge of extinction. But thanks to Geico and the ever growing gospel of people like me, the world has seen Cavemen in a whole new light, and alas, we are as powerful as ever and only getting stronger.
I try to live by the Caveman pact. Hunt with courage, live wisely, live simply, give thanks for you sustenance. Most folks think the Caveman is an outdated, unsophisticated, dumb creature. They couldn’t be more far from the truth. In fact, Cavemen were very tough, strong, intelligent, emotional beings. Not only did they have to ward off predators, harsh environmental conditions, and sometimes scarce food availability, they were very in touch with nature and with themselves, qualities many a modern man has lost. I am very proud to emulate the Caveman way of living as much as I can, and I encourage you to try the same. If you’re wondering how I became Caveman, click here.
I am an athlete by nature. I have killer thighs that were designed for battle against the mightiest of beast and foe, and the most grueling of farm and carpentry work. However, since the world has become industrialized, I have no need for either. Thus I put my thighs to work by kicking tail. Mountain biking is my favorite way to do so, but I would be weak, unskilled, and boring if I limited myself to a single niche, so I throw in some running, swimming, cyclocross, and yes, even road racing to mix things up. Competition keeps me sharp, but truly, being outside and enjoying God’s great earth is what it’s all about. Snow skiing, water skiing, canoeing, sailing, backpacking, spelunking, bouldering, hiking, camping, hunting, and festival-going are but a few other activities that I enjoy.
I believe in evolution, but I am also a God-fearing man and give Him all the glory, when there is glory to be had. Sometimes my bike breaks and the glory goes to another guy. I am still blessed to have the opportunity to achieve glory. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
I was born and raised in the North Texas town of Terrell, but after coming down to Austin for a bachelor degree at the greatest educational institution in the Lone Star state, let alone the nation, I saw no reason to leave! For it was here in this funky, vibrant town of Austin that I made an honest living and an humble abode of 11 years. I hitched up to an awesome Cavewoman, and we began building the clan. Unfortunately, we never made it past our beloved canine hunting companion, Ladybird the Blue Lacy pooch. After only a year and a half of marriage, circumstances forced us to go our separate ways.
I packed up and headed west in search of new adventure, new beginnings, and lots of mountain singletrack. I found it in Durango, CO where I am staying to this day. If you are ever in the area, get in touch and I’ll take you for a ride or hike on some sweet Durango trail, and maybe cap it off with a trip to one of the four microbrews in town.
Whazzup Caveman?
Oh you are going to be sorry you let me find out your secret biking name. Now I am going to grunt every time I pass your cube in the office.
‘s cool though. Keep grunting.

Hey Aardvark, I would like to see you post some sort of Table or chart that just shows the race data (type, length, etc) and results. Or is it here somewhere and I am missing it?
There is a results link under the directory. it has most of the info you are asking about.

Caveman:
Quick question from the way back machine. In 2010 you upgraded a bike with an Actiontec BB. How is that working for you?
I am looking into one and can not seem to find any reviews on them.
Thanks
Need to update at least once a week man…. Would be surprised at the following you could get.
